Tiri is a not for profit NGO founded in London in 2003 by Fredrik Galtung and Jeremy Pope both of whom were original founders members of Transparency International. Tiri was established as an anti corruption organisation out of the recognition that the time for talking about the importance of fighting corruption had now moved on to the determined reduction and control of corruption by the practical application of practical knowledge and skills

Tiri works with a growing global network of specialists, academics, institutions and organisations across more than 70 counties to raise integrity standards in public and private institutions.

Tiri has two principal work programmes.

  • The Public Integrity Education Network (PIEN) which involves some 90 universities and civil administration training colleges in about 70 countries.

It had two smaller programmes the ‘’The Judicial Integrity Group’’ and the ‘’Cambridge Group of Election Commissioners’’.

Tiri is founded by grants from a number of charitable foundations, national governments, United Nations bodies and others.

Tiri’s head office is in London and it also has an operational base in East Jerusalem.
