Talk:TippingPoint

it's still a seperate entity with seperate branding ... the page should remain standalone with a reference to 3com.

I agree. TippingPoint (both as Netpliance & TippingPoint) was notable before the merger. (The TippingPoint & Netpliance pages should be merged!) In many ways, it is still operating separately from the rest of 3Com. 3Com has a history of buying companies & then spinning them off again. --Malirath 18:52, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

I'm thinking the article reads too much like marketing copy, does anyone else agree? Skunkyoplait 17:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I Agree with you. The "solutions" section should be removed entirely as it is marketing verbiage. The main section should read something like : "TippingPoint is a provider of network-based Intrusion-prevention system. TippingPoint is present on the IPS market since it launched its first network-based intrusion prevention system in 2002. Their products aim towards IT professionals, not the end consumer. The company is closely related to 3Com." -- cg 2007-01-24
