Tinora High School (Defiance, Ohio)

Tinora High School is a public high school near Defiance, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Northeastern Local Schools district. Their nickname is the Rams.
The source of the unusual name "Tinora" is the result of combining the names of the townships comprising the Northeastern Local School district. The townships are:
Tiffin Township - the source of "TI"
Noble Township - the source of "NO"
the Northern portion of Richland Township - the source of "R"
Adams Township - the source of "A"
Put together in this order, these letters spell TINORA.
