Tinkerbell (born October 31, 2002 in Athens, Greece) is the pet chihuahua of Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton's ownership of Tinkerbell may have advanced the trend of owning small dogs, dubbed "accessory dogs" by some.

Hilton is frequently seen carrying the dog at social events and functions, and in all four seasons of television reality show The Simple Life.

In 2004, Tinkerbell "authored" a memoir, The Tinkerbell Hilton Diaries, ("ghostwritten" by D. Resin). On August 12, 2004 Tinkerbell went missing after Hilton's apartment was robbed, and a $5,000 reward was offered for her safe return.[1] She was found six days later.

In the summer of 2005, Hilton reportedly gave Tinkerbell to her mother, in favor of an even smaller dog named Bambi.[2] However Paris Hilton publicly denied this in an interview for the radio station Z100 in New York. By December 1, Tinkerbell was again spotted with her mistress at various events and book signings.

[edit] Parodies

Tinkerbell was portrayed in the episode "Stupid Spoiled Whore Video Playset" of the TV series South Park, in which she commits suicide by gunshot to escape being Paris' pet (we also see in a photo album that Paris had other dogs that committed suicide, including a spaniel called Cuddles, who followed the Japanese soldier method of suicide by falling on his sword. A Tinkerbell doppelgänger appeared in the video for "Stupid Girls" by P!nk.
