Talk:Tinto

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tinto = in connection with Candolim and Goa means MARKET or MARKETPLACE. The market place was called Tinto during the Portuguese time and is still known by that name. Every village has a Tinto in Goa, where fresh vegetables, fruit, meat, fresh fish and other groceries (mostly fresh) are sold. The Goans go to the Tinto in the morning, before they start cooking their daily lunch. This is Bernhard Thamm (once from Sinquerim near Candolim) writing this little piece.
