TIND

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

TIND ("thisisnotdesign") is a non-prodit video art group from Montreal active since 2001. It is formed of many VJs, video artists and photographers who experiment video in all field possible. TIND’ style is mainly based on the visual textures created by the errors found in video compression, interferences, bad video signals and video feedback. This texture accumulate itself in layers and then create a blurry space between the abstract and the figurative world. The visuals are always based on the rythms of the music and the music is also inspired by the visuals...

TIND is an active member of the Montreal (Quebec, Canada) VJ and video scene with these other groups / events :

- SAT Mixsession : monthly based VJing events gathering.
- Minute Moments : monthly night where people from all backgrounds meet to show each others their one minute video creation.
- Dérapage festival and events : non-narrative audio-visual festival and events from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM)
- C.O.M.A. COMA festival : rythmic noise music festival held each year at the SAT in Montreal.
