Tim Adams is a native of the United Kingdom: born in Wath upon Dearne, Yorkshire, 1955, and reared near Brampton, Cumbria.

Educated at St Andrews University (BSc Botany) and Exeter University (MSc Plant Pathology and PhD Population Biology).

Resident in New Caledonia since 1992, and working for the Secretariat of the Pacific Community, after 10 years in Fiji working for the University of the South Pacific and the Fiji government Fisheries Division.

Currently specialising in fisheries management [1] in the Pacific Islands region.

Also interested in: building internet knowledge-bases (e.g. [2]); low-level genealogy; "alternative" definitions; performing low-fi music.
