Timothy Tollemache, 5th Baron Tollemache

Timothy John Edward Tollemache, 5th Baron Tollemache (born 13 December 1939) is the standing owner of the principal ancestral seat of Helmingham Hall and the 5th Baron Tollemache.
He was born in 1939, the son of Major John Tollemache, 4th Baron Tollemache and Dinah Susan Jamieson.
[edit] Educated and Career
Educated at Eton College, he is the Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk [1] since 2003. He had been Vice-Lieutenant of Suffolk since 1994 and was Deputy-Lieutenant before that, since 1984. He is director of Fortis (UK). He is a patron or president of several organizations and societies.[2]

He married Alexandra Dorothy Jean Meynell (or Maynell) in 1970. Lady Tollemache is a garden designer. Lord and Lady Tollemache have the following issue:[3]
- Hon. Selina Karen Tollemache (born 3 October 1973)
- Hon. Edward John Hugh Tollemache (born 12 May 1976)
- Hon. James Henry Timothy Tollemache (born 28 August 1980)
Their son James went to Eton, and their eldest son, Edward, heir apparent to the barony, was educated at Marlborough College. Lord and Lady Tollemache are members of the Countryside Alliance, and opened their home to the public to raise money for it. A portrait of Lady Tollemache by Tessa Traegar, commissioned in 2004, is in the National Portrait Gallery collections.[4]
