[edit] General Information
Timothy McTague is a 23-year-old guitarist, currently playing in the Christian metalcore band Underoath. He is the lead guitarist of the band. He lives in a three bedroom house with 4-6 friends, including band mate Grant Brandell, depending on who needs a home at the time. Tim calls himself a fan of minimalism, and thinks cutting down on resource consumption and communal living would help out the world a lot. He calls himself a hypocrite as he drives around on tour bus that is diesel fueled. He states many times on his profile on the official Underoath website that he tries to help with little things whenever he can and that we control the world, not people who are “better” than us.
[edit] Personal Interests
Tim enjoys riding his motorcycle, food, and doing yoga with his friends Smitty and Donald Miller, his roommates, and reading. An unusual thought for Tim was found on the official Underoath site; apparently, Tim wants to go back in time and meet William Wallace and help him free Scotland. He has a younger brother named Daniel McTague, formerly bass player for the Tampa-based hardcore band Martyr's Prayer.
[edit] Instruments
Tim plays a Gibson SG standard and a Gibson Les Paul Classic with an Orange 4x12 and 2x12 (though only sometimes), with a Marshall Plexi and JCM 800 Head. He plays various Electro Harmonix pedals and a Line 6 DL4.
