Timothy M. Sullivan

Timothy M. Sullivan (born October 24, 1977) is an interior designer, private curator and entrepreneur in Boston. A specialist in English country interiors and private collection management, Sullivan designs private residences worldwide.

Sullivan was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, and raised in Leominster, Massachusetts. In 2000 he graduated Summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with an A.B. in History of Art from Boston College. While at Boston College, he co-authored Reflections on the Connolly Book of Hours and curated the exhibition Hand-Held Delight: The Eighteenth-Century Fan, at the McMullen Museum of Art.

After Boston College, Sullivan attended Yale University and Harvard University. He earned an A.M. in History of Art from Yale in 2001 and an M.Phil. in History of Art from Yale in 2005. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Yale in History of Art.

While at Yale, Sullivan established Lillian Shermann, Inc., a Massachusetts-based firm that specializes in residential design. Though the firm's work crosses numerous styles and periods, Sullivan's specialty is in the style known as English country.

Lillian Shermann, Inc. has also developed an international reputation as a manufacturer of luxury lighting inspired by great traditions in the decorative arts.
