TimeShift is an un-released video game being published by Vivendi. It is scheduled for a 2007 release. It is being developed by Saber Interactive, who also made the game, Will Rock, on a new proprietary engine. A few pieces of Will Rock carry over to TimeShift, such as the way gibs are shown, to some of the unique weapon designs.
The main feature of the game allows the player to stop, rewind or slow down time, similar to the Xbox game Blinx: The Time Sweeper or Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and like those games, the player is not affected by time manipulations and can use their time powers to fight enemies or handle specific time related puzzles.
The game was originally to be published by Atari, but was changed to Vivendi on April 20, 2006. And on 31st of August 2006, the release of this game was delayed for the second time. The game is now scheduled to release in 2007.
Along with having new publishers, Timeshift also has many new improvements to the levels and gameplay, and to the graphics system as well. It will also have celebrity voice acting, with Hollywood names like Dennis Quaid and Michael Ironside. TimeShift will be directed, produced and edited by Kyle Peschel.
[edit] Storyline
In TimeShift, the player controls Colonel Michael Swift who signs up for a time-travel experiment. He uses a transport machine called the "Chromonicon" and the time-manipulating "Quantum Suit" to be sent back to the 1900's as part of a test. However, when he returns, the world is completely changed and now under the rule of a tyranny. A dictator called Lord Krone rules.
