Tim Vincent (born 4 November 1972), is a Welsh actor and television presenter.

[edit] Early career

Vincent was born in Overton, Wrexham, Wales. He first took to acting at Theatr Clwyd, in nearby Mold. His first television role was playing alcoholic teenager Billy Ryan, in the ITV drama series Children's Ward. Tim also took to the stage in Panto for several years, always playing the role of 'Dandini' in Cinderella, at Southport, Torquay, Widnes and York.

[edit] Presenter

Vincent is most famous for being a presenter on the popular children's programme Blue Peter, which he joined on 16 December 1993. During his time on the show, he completed the New York Marathon, travelled to South Africa, and flew a fighter jet. He left Blue Peter on 24 January 1997, having already featured in two series of the drama Dangerfield and begun presenting The Clothes Show.

Since leaving Blue Peter and Dangerfield, Vincent has presented Short Change, and later presented Fully Booked. More recently, he has played a vet in the soap opera Emmerdale, and appeared in the film Sorted (alongside Tim Curry and Jason Donovan). He also presented the first series of the reality television series, I'm Famous And Frightened! as well as the popular Sky One series There's Something About Miriam.

He is currently a reporter (as of 2005) on Access Hollywood. In 2006, he hosted the pilots for GSN's revival of the game show Chain Reaction, but he will not be hosting the series itself.

He spent several years filming a pilot for the show "Tim Vincent Walks A Million Miles", eventually leaving the show after deciding it was taking up too much of his time and claiming that he was never that interested in walking anyway. It is believed that Kris Akabusi has taken over the role, the name of the programme will be unchanged.

He has hosted the Miss World contest in 2005, 2006 and Miss USA in 2007.
