Tim Powles

Tim Powles is the drummer with the Australian-formed band The Church. He started working with the band in 1994, with the album Sometime Anywhere (though he was mis-identified as Tim Powell on the liner notes). He became an official, permanent member with Hologram of Baal in 1998, and has worked on all of their releases since then. Tim resides in Sydney, Australia and runs a recording studio called Spacejunk. He has production credit on the Church releases, as well as a few other artists. He also records solo material, and released an album titled Tyg's in Space in 1999.

Tim was born in Wellington, New Zealand, but has lived in the UK. He eventually moved to Australia where he first became known there in 80's band The Venetians and the band Flight X-7. He has also played drums for The Divinyls and a few other artists.
