Tim O'Malley is an US actor and playwright, director living in Chicago. He is a Core Faculty Member at the Second City Training Center. He is most recognizable as Patrick, the bartender in Return to Me.
O'Malley started in showbuisiness as a singer. He sang with Sony Recording Artist and Grammy winner Shawn Colvin in college at Southern Illinois University Carbondale before either of them knew where they were headed. Tim later used Shawn's music in his play godshow.
The play he wrote and starred in, godshow, has been running off and on for four years in theaters around Chicago. It's a comic/tragic drama about O'Malley's struggles with addiction, his quest for success, and faith. It has sold out each of its six runs to critical acclaim. He's currently writing his second full length play "Cracks" about love and family, or the lack there of.
