"Tim McGraw" was the title of the debut hit single from American Country music artist Taylor Swift.
Taylor Swift was only sixteen years old when she debuted this self-penned song. The song was named after one of her biggest influences on her musical career, Tim McGraw, who is another well-known country artist. Swift co-wrote the song with Liz Rose. The song peaked at #6 on the January 27, 2007 Hot Country Singles chart. Thanks to the song's success, Taylor has became a teen star in country music.
There are a few alternate versions of the song, depending on what radio format/show it is being played on - the line "Someday you'll turn your radio on" is altered to "Someday you'll turn (name of station) on". A similar change was made for the song on Bob Kingsley's Country Top 40 show; the line was altered to "And turn the Bob Kingsley Countdown on".
