Tim McCann (born June 21, 1968) is an American film director and a professor of film and a director at his alma mater State University of New York at Purchase.
After working as a housepainter, truck driver, and crew positions in the film industry, he directed his first feature film, Desolation Angels, in 1995, at a cost of under 50 thousand dollars. Desolation Angels won the International Critics Prize (FIPRESCI) at The Toronto International Film Festival, The Merchant/Ivory Award at The Telluride Film Festival, and was Critic's Choice at The Rotterdam International Film Festival.
