Timothy Joseph Layana (born March 2, 1964, in Inglewood, California – died June 26, 1999, in Bakersfield, California) was a Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher. He is an alumnus of Loyola Marymount University.

Drafted by the New York Yankees in the 3rd round of the 1986 MLB amateur draft, Layana would make his Major League Baseball debut with the Cincinnati Reds on April 9, 1990, and appear in his final game on July 26, 1993.

Layana was a member of the Cincinnati Reds team that defeated the Oakland Athletics in the 1990 World Series. Shortly afterward, an arm injury cut his career short.

On June 26, 1999, Layana was killed when the vehicle he was traveling in with friends Greg Hoel, Bruce Taylor, and brother Mike Layana, was broadsided while making a turn by a speeding vehicle. Tim was the only person in the car who perished. Layana had spent that day playing in a charity golf tournament to raise money for juvenile diabetes.
