[edit] The TellMe days

Back in 1996, Henson did Distorted View for the TellMe phone service, reporting offbeat news to subscribers. Currently, subscribers of the "Distorted View Sideshow" service receive TellMe episodes of Distorted View.

[edit] After TellMe

Henson wrote humor articles for online publications and contributed pieces to independent radio shows like The Basement Internet Show. His own daily radio show had a successful run, and he later served as producer for a morning drive program on Sirius Satellite Radio. Although he wasn't the host of the program, Distorted View bits occasionally made the airwaves. On the very first day of broadcasting, Henson introduced a curious audience to the sexual term "chili dogs", setting the mood for the rest of his run.

[edit] Short films

Henson also creates comedic short films that have won numerous awards, including the 1st place "Golden Balloon" at "Smirk Comedy Shanty's 3rd Annual FilmFlamFest", and 7 "Academy Awards." (Dotty McDowell's Ferret Obedience Academy)[citation needed] He's also created numerous films on YouTube under the screen name "dvnetshow."

[edit] "Skanking"

Tim Henson has coined the term "Skanking", which is a portmanteau of Skype and prank. It involves making a falsified Skype call for the sake of comedic enjoyment. Often Henson will bait potential victims by assuming the identity of a pubescent girl. Many Distorted View listeners noticed that Asian men who don't speak English usually call him.

[edit] More information

Henson claims he may be running for President of the United States in 2008 for the sole purpose of signing a bill into law that will require all people over the age of 65 to undergo mandatory euthanasia. According to his website, Henson lives in Columbus, Ohio with his 15 cats, a Fry Daddy, and a crippling fear of social interaction, especially children and the elderly. Tim is also believed by many (especially himself) to have popularized the term 'Fucktard'. His day job, until recently was as a proctor at a testing facility. He was quoted as saying, "It has made me hate people!" He is currently self-employed, and makes a living from listener subscriptions.

Henson enjoys listening to '90s rock like O.A.R., Nickelback, Vertical Horizon, Dishwalla, Toad the Wet Sprocket, etc. He also likes newer music like Butch Walker and Britney Shears.

[edit] Awards

In 2005 Henson won "Best Comedy Podcast" for his work on Distorted View at the first annual Podcast Awards. In 2006, the show won once again.

[edit] Podcasting full-time

Tim has recently moved back to his hometown of Ashtabula, OH. He did this in attempts to concentrate mainly on his famed podcast and go full-time with it.

Henson supplements his salary with donations made through PayPal. He rewards larger donations with a Distorted View bumper sticker, in addition to mentioning you on the show. Recently, if a large amount of donations are made, he will occasionally broadcast a Saturday and/or Sunday show. On November 21, 2006, Tim introduced the Super Freaks Sideshow, which allows listeners to pay $5/month or $50/year to access exclusive content, like archived episodes from when the show was on TellMe.
