From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Tim Gray (B.1970 in Stamford Connecticut) is a technology journalist, formerly of Jupiter Media and NewFactor Networks, and currently (2007) with ECT Networks reporting for publications E-Commerce Times and TechNewsWorld.

Gray received a B.A. in political science from Fairfield University and a M.S. in international relations from Southern Connecticut State University. He worked for many years as a New York City newspaper reporter covering a wide range of beats from City Hall to crime coverage to environmental issues.

In 2003, he reportered to the link between New York City’s ban on smoking inside bars and restaurants and the environmental fallout the legislation caused.

Although now primarily considered a technology generalist in terms of coverage, Gray started out covering the computer security industry, where he broke stories ranging from international computer virus outbreaks to massive data security breaches.
