[edit] Career
Feehan's first band was Footloose, which recorded a Top-10 Canadian hit single "Leaving for Maui" in 1980. Within two years, Feehan became a solo artist and scored a #1 Canadian A/C hit single "Never Say Die", with Vikki Moss. In 1984, he won the grand prize in an Alberta songwriting competition which was a recording session with famed Canadian producer David Foster. With Foster at the helm, Feehan recorded another single "Read Between the Lines" featuring Toto's Steve Lukather on guitar.
Feehan would eventually move to Los Angeles, and thanks to his work with Foster would land a recording contract with Scotti Brothers Records. His self-titled debut album, also produced by Foster, was released in 1987 and featured two hit Canadian singles. One of these, "Where's the Fire", became the theme to the soundtrack for the cult film The Wraith. This record would lead to Feehan winning the 1987 Juno Award for "Most Promising Male Vocalist of the Year. Feehan also became the lead vocalist for Foster's world tour of 1987, when Chicago vocalist Peter Cetera was not available.
Towards the end of the 1980s, his work on soundtracks would continue, including writing a track called "Dirty Love" for the soundtrack to the 1989 James Bond film Licence To Kill, and working with Foster on his soundtrack for Stealing Home. He would release his fourth solo album, Full Contact in 1990 featuring a number of L.A.-area musicians, including Richard Marx.
More recently, Feehan has written and produced two albums for Tiffany including her 2000 album The Color of Silence and her hit independent 2005 release Dust Off and Dance.
