Rationale for the fair use of this image in the article Thunderball:

No free or public domain images have been located for this film.

The magazine cover is intended to represent a historical moment in the history of James Bond, in which two Bond films were released concurrently with two different actors playing the role of James Bond. The first, Octopussy with Roger Moore and the second Never Say Never Again with Sean Connery. The cover is notable to Thunderball because of controversy between studios at the time of their release in 1983. Never Say Never Again is a remake of Thunderball and was produced after lengthy legal battles regarding the film rights to Thunderball. This cover is discussed in the article, and use of an image to illustrate the points being discussed add greatly the article.

The image is used for informational purposes only and is not believed to detract from the original film in any way.
