Category needs better organization, either by subcat and/or by naming convention. —Viriditas | Talk 22:05, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- Given the nature of this category perhaps a chronological organization would be best? Headings could start with millennia and then move down to the centuries within while the various timelines would be placed under the most appropriate heading given their referenced time period. This might make it easier to find a desired timeline rather than guessing at the article title and looking under alphabetical headings. Of course if that is the Wikipedia standard then we could try a new naming convention as Viriditas suggests.--WmRowan 16:45, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] At A Glance
As for the articles themselves I have found that the disparate timeline formats in use leave much to be wanted. Specifically it is difficult to get a glimpse of the entire time span in one view. Perhaps at the top of each article that is actually a timeline (many in this category are simply lists) we put a traditional timeline (one with an actual segmented line with major event labels) as a summary of the events listed in the more complete but hard to read timeline below.--WmRowan 16:53, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
