[edit] Synopsis
Having upgraded Crichton's Farscape One module with some of Moya's biotechnology, John and Aeryn practice flying it in the presence of solar flares, which are somewhat similar to the conditions under which John was flying when he was sucked through a wormhole: to their surprise, their efforts result in the creation of a proto-wormhole, albeit an unstable one. Awestruck, Crichton starts to fly into it, to Aeryn's fury, but turns away at the last moment. The ship is damaged, though, and he is forced to land on the nearby planet Dam-Ba-Da below to repair it.
A mechanic named Furlow agrees to repair it (after offering to buy it): to pass time while she is doing so, Crichton and Aeryn wander, only to come across a Peacekeeper beacon transmitting a bounty for D'Argo, Zhaan and Rygel, (but not Aeryn or Crichton), which is unfortunately seen by two Vorcarian Blood Trackers. Crichton is able to trick them into thinking that he and Aeryn are also trackers, and they join the search together. Unfortunately, D'Argo's impatience on Moya causes him to fly down to the planet to retrieve them--unaware he'll be identified. Zhaan is fairly useless during these problems because solar flares have an effect on her species that precludes her doing much but basking in their... warm glow.
In a scuffle, Aeryn is blinded by a solar flare, while D'Argo is subsequently captured by the Vorcarians: Crichton must somehow continue his bluff whilst attempting to free an already distrustful D'Argo, fend off Furlow's unusual interest in his module, and research the solar flares so that he can create a wormhole and return home. He and D'Argo fight as D'Argo initially thinks Crichton has changed sides, but eventually the two bond. Aeryn discovers that the wanted beacon has a hidden message--if she turns Crichton over to him, he will give her an honorable discharge (though she's sure that really means she'll get "the living death"). Exercising her new powers of ingenuity, she figures out a way to convince the Vorcarians to leave. Furlow fixes the shuttle but extracts a painful price--John must turn over to her the data he collected when he created the wormhole. She wants to do her own research and then sell it to the highest bidder. John vows to return to do research later.

- D'Argo: What is a pain in the ass?
