Tiger Balm Garden (Hong Kong)

Tiger Balm Garden (also called Aw Boon Haw Garden) is located at 15, Tai Hang Road, Tai Hang, Wan Chai District, Hong Kong.
A 7-story White Pagoda is the highlight of the garden. Other tourist attractions include artificial Chinese landscaping dotted with sculptures.

It was built at a cost of HK$16 million by Aw Boon Haw and his family in 1935[1]. It was opened to the public in the early 1950s; it was one of the first theme parks in Hong Kong[citation needed].
Most of the Garden has been sold to be redeveploed into a residential area. In 1998, the ownership inheritor, Aw Sian sold the whole Garden complex to a land development company, Cheung Kong. The Hong Kong Government reached an agreement with the company to preserve the Haw Par Mansion when the Garden complex is redeveloped.[2]
[edit] Haw Par Mansion
The 3-story Haw Par Mansion was the Aw family's former residence in Hong Kong. It was built in the Chinese Renaissance style. There are more than 500 relics in the Mansion; they underwent restoration and repair. [3] The building is graded as Grade II historic building.[4]
