Tiger's Nest is the English translation of the name of some places in The Himalayas, and some places in Europe which are inspired by the Asian ones.

They are mainly grottos in Tibet and Bhutan, where the famous Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava is said to have performed spirituality and meditated. Some say there are 13 Tiger's Nests.

The name has its root in the history of Padmasambhava. He is said to realized tiger-energy, which can fly, and to have made these places into "nest"'s for hatching disciples. Together with his primary consort, Yeshe Tsogyal, Padmasambhava is known for this - and especially by doing tantra, which is a mix of sexuality and spirituality.

There is now a place called Tigerens Rede (Tiger's Nest in Danish) in Denmark, where Anne Sophie Jørgensen teaches a modern form of this tiger-tantra-wisdom combined with christianity, and other sources.
