Talk:Tiffany Teen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I don't understand: Why is her name being censored from the article? It's not a theory or a guess. It's fact. An online forum tracked down her middle school yearbook and posted the picture online; and a couple of weeks later, she issued a notice saying that she was quitting her website because people had invaded her privacy by posting her name and yearbook photos on the Web. Also: Look at Rxbxn's modeling page. Now look at TiffanyTeen. Now look back at Rxbxn. It's the same girl. This isn't, like, an "opinion," or a "point of view" that's open to interpretation. That's her. So why is the information being censored?
- It counts as original research. A web forum of stalkers is not really the best thing to cite. --Golbez 07:24, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

- I disagree completely on this matter, a web forum of stalkers isn't the wikipedian editor in question and thus it is not original research. Thus, her name should be included in the article. 211.30.71.59 12:42, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Nude video?
I don't think there is a nude video out there. Can you please cite your source so I can verify the information... :)--DannyBoy 11:24, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
- You mean please link to the hardcore content? I believe there should be a link to the exposè which caused her to shut her site down as it is significant material. 211.30.71.59 12:42, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

- I am yet to see a Nude Video of Tiffany Teen or a non photoshop nude image (And by nude i mean no clothes) and by that the message about this article being part of WikiProject Porn stars is wrong, it is erotica so she is not a porn star.
- Edit - Ok there is sexual scenes out there of this model however it is obvious that it was home videos that leaked out onto the internet so does that make her a porn star? i'd say no as it wasn't officially posted on her site but thats up for discussion. - Edit
- There is many sites stating the exposè mentioned however none of it is factual and i doubt Tiffany Teen is going to give anyone the facts so it may never be known exactly why she shut it down. SmoKey 13:42, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wired News article
The Wired News article referenced in the intro paragraph does, indeed, include a brief passage about a model named Tiffany Teen, but this appears to be a different model using the same name (actually, a 13-year-old girl). Jeff Silvers 15:35, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- That article dates from 2001, so if she was 13 then, she isn't any more. --Marriedtofilm 16:46, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Regardless, it appears to be a totally different person, and probably shouldn't be used as a reference in this article. Jeff Silvers 18:18, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- How exactly so? As the reference in the article is so brief, you can be precise. --Marriedtofilm 21:03, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- Look at the article, click the hyperlink (not safe for work), different person, unrelated to this one, the wired article is about under legal/grey area legal 18 year old non-nude "model" sites that try/accused of trying to sell themselves to pedophiles. Unrelated!!! 24.90.122.153 16:12, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- I believe that the link you just provided is not related to this articles Tiffany Teen, but how do you know that this 2001 Wired article is not? --Oakshade 16:20, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- Because the link he provided is the Tiffany Teen the Wired article is about (or at least mentions). To recap: That Wired article DOES mention a Tiffany Teen, but it isn't this Tiffany Teen. So I'm removing it. Jeff Silvers 21:25, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
- Concession where concession is due. Thank you for guiding us to the actual link in the Wired article. Yes, that does appear to be a different person (people?) than the subject of the WP Tiffany Teen article. Something referring to this TT would be nice. No irrational reasoning for keeping a reference here. --Oakshade 23:01, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

::I noticed somebody tried to remove this source. The top of the artitlce says TT was lanched in 2003, which would counter the Wired article showing its existance in 2001. Problem is, the citation to the 2003 launch is broken. We don't know which is correct, but as it stands now, we can only go by the verified reliable source. --Oakshade 22:58, 2 November 2006 (UTC) No issue with the deletion of source (see above).--Oakshade 02:47, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

I am just wondering why that girl is on such a nice site as wikipedia. She is not famous (i can't see any link reference about her being famous at some point in time on the internet. Don't see stats and she never called herself as a pornstar. I am just concerned here - do we have to put every single wannabe model / or wannabe pornstar on this web site? Maybe deletion would increase the reliability of this site, that i often use for university projects? Thanks guys 70.81.172.250 03:54, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- You are misguided if you use Wikipedia for university projects. -Ashley Pomeroy 20:47, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
