[edit] Founding
TietoEnator Corporation was formed by the combination of Tieto Corporation in Finland and Enator AB in Sweden on 7 July 1999. After the merger TietoEnator has strengthened its expertise of the chosen industries for instance by the following acquired IT service companies and outsourced IT units.

A few month after merging, TietoEnator started its expansion with making the acquisition of companies all over Europe in areas and industries like energy, healthcare, manufacturing, banking and insurance, retail, telecom, utilities and media.
