Thusitha Jayasundera (born 1971) is a Sri Lankan actress based in the United Kingdom.

She previously appeared in the TV series Holby City. In 2003 she went on to play the understanding yet firm Detective Sergeant DS Ramani DeCosta in the UK drama series The Bill.

After two years as a DS she was promoted to Acting Detective Inspector (DI) in July 2005. Thusitha left The Bill in early 2006.

She will soon be travelling around the UK with The National Theatre performing in The Caucasian Chalk Circle. For dates and places go to www.thusithaonline.tk.
