[edit] Career

Both members trained in various small independent Puerto Rico wrestling federations, before signing with Puerto Rico's World Wrestling Council, the major wrestling federation on the island at the time, in April 2000 where the two men would join together under the Thunder and Lightning gimmick. The team won their first of what eventually would be WWC Tag Team Championship reign from Dutch Mantell and Bouncer Bruno on April 29, 2000, in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

The teams would go on to trade the titles back and fourth with team Broncos II & III, Konnan and Carly Colon, and "Evil" Eddie Watts & Rico Suave to become 10 time champions.

The team was dissolved in June 2003 for a short time after a match against Broncos II and III when Lightning, acting under orders from manager La Tigresa, injured his parter. The two had a feud which included a match at the WWC Anniversary Show in 2003, and during this Lightning would go on to win his first singles title defeating Eddie Colon in the final of WWC Universal Title Tournament. However, the team reunited shortly thereafter when Thunder saved Lightning from an attack by Broncos I, II, and III, as well as El Diamante.

After reforming, the team left the WWC to join the International Wrestling Association and in their first month defeated Glamour Boy Shane and Kasey James for the IWA Tag Team Championships.

During their third IWA tag team reign in January 2005, Thunder was injured and IWA General Manager Savio Vega forced Lightning to name Anarchy as his replacement partner. This pairing however soon lost the belts. When Thunder returned from injury, the team returned to their winning ways, defeating the team of Neo and Montana, for their fourth title in January 2006.

Later in the year Lightning would try his hand in at a singles career and soon defeated Savio Vega for the IWA Heavyweight Championship on June 17, 2006, although he would only hold the title a few weeks before losing it to Mikael Judas.
