Thugmo is the name of the B side of the UC Berkeley's Ultimate Frisbee team, which was established in 2002. Originally known by several other names, including Ruckus, Gun Show, and Funk, the name is derived from an incident in which a member of the team struck a member of the A-team (known as Ugmo, short for Ugly Monkey) with a moving motor vehicle. While several members wanted to name the team Monkey Knife Fight, in reference to a Simpsons episode, the final decision was Thugmo.

Thugmo has several unique traditions, pre-game cheers, and recreational activities. Among the team's most popular cheers are "Put the Monkey in the Trunk," "Punch Your Bitches," and The Penis Cheer. The latter can be seen on Youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrQnV-00Kw4. In addition, the team has a tradition of playing games of Rock, Paper, Scissors for anything that has to be decided, such as seating in cars. It is also used to force team members perform dares and stunts, such as eating a live frog or becoming a Vegan for a week. Other traditions include the yearly Scavenger Hunt, in which both Ugmo and Thugmo participate, and eating at In-n-Out Burger after tournaments.

Thugmo competes in several tournaments throughout the year, including Trouble in Vegas, the Irvine Invite, SoCal Wetdown, and the Santa Barbara Qualifier, among others, generally in California.
