[edit] Image:Communistpartyrunstates.jpg
I have found the original on which this was based, and propagated its licence, although I have reservations about the licence on the base map. As that is lossless, it should be updated and the JPG abandoned. With something like GIMP, you should be able to sample the right colour then flood fill it to the additional state.
The sources for the information about the states and the implication that this is the current situation still need addressing. --David Woolley 13:43, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Request for a map for Cultural expansion of Hinduism
I was wondering if you could make a map for the Cultural expansion of Hinduism in Southeast Asia in the History of Hinduism article. It would probably like Image:TheravadaMap2.gif except with the arrows orginating from India instead of Sri Lanka and anther set of arrows coming from India and going to Indonesia and Malaysia. --Dangerous-Boy 11:11, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
- Can you change the arrow that goes from sri lanka to thailand? Can you change it to India to Thailand? Sort of like this : Image:MahayanaMap.gif. Nice work by the way. --Dangerous-Boy 06:28, 15 January 2006 (UTC)

- It's perfect. No other changes need to be made. Thanks for the Picture. I really aprreciate it. --Dangerous-Boy 21:26, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Barnstar
I, IAMTHEEGGMAN hereby award you the Barnstar EATEN BY A BEAR for your random humour on your Talk page. |
[edit] Image:Flag of the Habsburg Monarchy.svg
Thank you for uploading my Hapsburg Flag on the commons, but I have released it into the Public Domain. I fixed the tag already though, so do not worry. Thanks again. --ThrashedParanoid 22:57, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
- ok. So which licence should I use when I want to upload on Commons an image in public domain ? Pyb 14:54, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
- "Own Work, all rights released" for ones released by a user. If not then there are specific details like "author died 70 years ago" and such. They only have it in english from what i've gathered for now, so it might be a little tricky. --ThrashedParanoid 19:51, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia editor
I reverted your change to this page. Because our reusers usually don't copy the Wikipedia: namespace, this will cause the links to break unless they are in "external links" format. See Wikipedia:Avoid self-references for more information. Thanks, JYolkowski // talk 23:21, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] re: Westminster vandal fix
I wanted to say thank you for fixing the vandalism in the Westminster High School article. I was about to delete the vandalism and you beat me to it! Good work! :) --Epicextra 04:23, 15 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mario Kart DS
Hello, ThrashedParanoid. As a player of Mario Kart DS online, I was wondering if you would be interested in participating in weekly online tournaments for fun. I have an interest in starting up scheduled games in some way and to gauge interest for the game. If you are interested in this possibility, please e-mail me at KramarDanIkabu@gmail.com with MKDS in the subject line. Thank you for your time. KramarDanIkabu 00:21, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Talk Brian Peppers
For whatever reason Jimbo deleted this article, he did it because he did not want the details on wikipedia for now. Your edit effectively reversed that decision. [1] I'll assume it was good faith, but DO NOT DO IT AGAIN. If you don't like the removal of this information from wikipedia - then take it up with Jimbo. --Doc ask? 00:21, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Flags in the Commons
Thanks for contributing so many flags or converting existing ones to SVG. But please always add {{insignia}} to their licensing status regardless whether the original carried it or not. Please do also not forget to use the categories the old flags used to be in.--Denniss 05:37, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Flag of Gran Colombia.png
I noticed you were the uploader of this image. If you created this image in a vector editor such as CorelDRAW or Adobe Illustrator, could you re-upload it as an SVG? SVGs can be rendered at any resolution, no matter how high, while PNGs cannot. -- Denelson83 08:06, 2 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Creativity galore!
Howdy TP! Very original idea there to use a country infobox to represent your own self; one is impressed. I was wondering if you would be able to contribute an image that will depict the flag of Norway during its years as an appendix to Denmark? Please see this posting. Thanks. //Big Adamsky 12:46, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
- NP, Inge already altered it as he saw fit. Apparently, it was facing the wrong way. Live and learn, eh :P //Big Adamsky 22:04, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cuba
Hi there, just found you as one of the few here who identify as Cubans. I have a friend in Holguín but lost contact as apparently his email address was blocked. Could you help to get in contact with him, please? ROGNNTUDJUU! 16:57, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- Hey right back at ya. I'm sorry but i really can't help you, as I live in the United States. You could check Category:Wikipedians in Cuba for some users who possibly could. Good luck --ThrashedParanoid★ 17:16, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- Already tried. There are few, so I wrote to all of them. Can you go to Cuba if you have relatives there or is it forbidden for everyone who lives in the US? ROGNNTUDJUU! 17:19, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- If you have a parent or grandparent in cuba you can go from the US to Cuba legaly, but you can only go for a few days once every few years. Some people go to mexico then go from mexico to cuba illegaly (don't know exactly how, i just know they do). --ThrashedParanoid★ 19:32, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- That sucks. Here in Europe people toppled the governments that restricted the freedom of movement... ROGNNTUDJUU! 19:47, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Communism map
Could you please remove Nicaragua from your map of Communist states? We don't have them listed as such in the actual article. Reagan administration rhetoric aside, the Sandinistas weren't and aren't a Communist Party (and Nicaragua wasn't a one party state). The Nicaraguan Communist Party was actually not a member of the FSLN and was in opposition. Further, the FSLN did not carry out a Communist/Soviet program ie they didn't nationalize the economy. Homey 03:10, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] OFLC ratings images
I've nominated the OFLC ratings symbol images you uploaded for deletion here. I have uploaded SVG versions of the symbols that replace them (and can be scaled to any size). --James 11:26, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Particracy
We should have a Particracy Players user category on Wikipedia :-) Not sure on what the policy on that is, though. Wouter Lievens 14:58, 28 May 2006 (UTC)
- I can't find any policy that says we can't! I made a category for Mario Kart DS that has stayed no problem. Only thing is that the article should be an article (as in not on the talk page). I'll move it to an article (Particracy (Game), right?) and then make the category if you are okay with it. --ThrashedParanoid★ 00:18, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Assyrian flag
May I ask what point are you trying to make? Are you trying to insult as Assyrians in some way? I really don't get your point in choosing the Assyrian flag to make a point. Chaldean 02:49, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well you defenatly succeded in making it odd :D Chaldean 13:50, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Jennifer Government: NationStates
As I said when I changed your user page NationStates link, I hope you don't mind. There is also a category for those who play. All you have to do to join it is to type [[Category:Wikipedians who play NationStates|{{PAGENAME}}]]. Please join us there.

[edit] Help?
Will you consider commenting on some AfD nominations and merge-delete propositions that I believe are an attempt to drive off a good editor? (OK, she's my wife. But she's exhausted by this fight; her articles are written in good faith and this editor is making a mockery of WP.)

[edit] South Yemen map
Did you base this off my map? I looks very much like you did, but since it's shrunken a bit I cannot be 100% sure. If so, be advised you cannot release it into the public domain, I only licensed it GFDL/CC-BY, and you must give me credit. Please respond. --Golbez 04:31, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. I assume you are talking about Image:Image-South Yemen governorates.png, but i went ahead and changed both that and Image:YAR-PDRY.PNG to GFDL/CC-BY. If there is any problem, go ahead and edit them respectively. --ThrashedParanoid★ 04:38, 5 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. Nice to see my blank maps are getting some use :) --Golbez 04:54, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Unspecified source for Image:CCHSdedication.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:CCHSdedication.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dr Zak 16:30, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Eva 64
I noticed in the Evangelion 64 page you upped a screen taken from a N64 emulator. I have an import copy of the game, but it won't fit in my 64. Can you please link me to the ROM's location on my user page? Thanks. Anthr4x 09:44, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Untagged image
An image you uploaded, Image:North Yemen Coat of arms.png, was tagged with the {{coatofarms}} copyright tag. This tag was deleted because it does not actually specify the copyright status of the image. The image may need a more accurate copyright tag, or it may need to be deleted. If the image portrays a seal or emblem, it should be tagged as {{seal}}. If you have any questions, ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- 17:02, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Gundam Wing Endless Duel Screen Shot.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Gundam Wing Endless Duel Screen Shot.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
