[edit] Coincidences?

In the film "Adaptation", Donald Kaufman writes a script entitled "The 3" in which an FBI detective is left clues by a serial killer. The detective must find out who the killer is before he kills his next victim, a woman, who the killer has already kidnapped. In the end, it is revealed that the killer, the detective, and the woman are all the same person.

Ted Dekker's novel was released one year after the release of this film.

Although this is true, On www.Teddekker.com Ted has explained that when this movie had came out, the book was already going through the editing process.
