Thorngumbald is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England in an area known as Holderness. It lies approximately 8 miles to the east of Hull city centre on the A1033 road.

The civil parish is formed by the village of Thorngumbald and the hamlets of Camerton and Ryehill. According to the 2001 UK census, Thorngumbald parish had a population of 3,106.

The unusual name is derived from the word Thorn, designating a thorn bush, and the name Gumbaud, the family name for the local Lord of the manor in the 13th century.
