Thorbjørn Svenssen

Thorbjørn Svenssen (born April 22, 1924) is a former football player from Norway.

Throughout his career he was a central defender, playing for Sandefjord. He is best remembered for appearing 104 times for the Norway national football team, where he played between 1947-1962. To this date, no other Norwegian has achieved more caps. Svenssen was in fact the second player to reach 100 international matches. The first was Billy Wright.

His steady playing style earned him the nickname "Klippen" (the rock).
