Thorarinn Gunnarsson

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thorarinn Gunnarsson is the pseudonym of an American author of science fiction and fantasy. For several years, he claimed to be of Icelandic birth but recently admitted that this (along with much of his biography) was false.

His 1990s novels Make Way For Dragons! Human, Beware! and Dragons on the Town featured a dragon named Dalvenjah Foxfire for whom DALnet is (indirectly) named. These books are noted for being far better than the cover art suggests, and for the brutal (and delightful) puns thrown out by the characters. Dragon's Domain appears to take place much earlier in the same continuity, setting up some elements of the setting, but has a very distinctive regretful feeling lacking in the trilogy and is not necessary to appreciate the core novels (which grow slightly darker as the series progresses).
