Thomas W. Hayes

Thomas W. Hayes was the 28th California State Treasurer. A Republican, he served from 1989 to 1991.
Hayes graduated from Atwater High School in Atwater, California and served in the military. He was sent on to work in the General Accounting Office, then the California Legislative Analyst. He was elected Treasurer in 1988. After serving as Treasurer, he assisted Orange County finances after their bankruptcy.
