Thomas Vermaelen (born 14 November, 1985), is a Belgian football player currently playing for AFC Ajax. A talented young defender, Vermaelen has been active for Ajax since February 2004. Recently, Vermaelen became a Rode Duivel, which means that he plays for the Belgium team.
