Thomas Troy is a celebrity alias that has become popular through an underground movement called "The Thomas Troy Project". The project began in Buffalo, NY on December 10, 2006. The Thomas Troy Project began with a logo design that was advertised on various forms of promotional documents such as posters, flyers, business cards, online communities, etc that were dispersed throughout the Buffalo community. Through use of Phenomenology, "the process of letting things manifest themselves", The Thomas Troy Project became popular once the logo, a simplified portrait of a man in glasses and a tie, began popping up all over the city.
