Thomas Rosica

Rev. Thomas Rosica, C.S.B. is a Canadian Catholic priest and Basilian Father.[1] He is the Chief Executive Officer of Canada's Catholic Salt + Light Television network,[1] and frequent national newspaper columnist.[citation needed]

Ordained in 1986, Father Rosica is a Scripture scholar who holds advanced degrees in theology and Sacred Scripture from Regis College at the University of Toronto, the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome and the École Biblique et Archéologique Française de Jérusalem.[1]

He served as Executive Director and Pastor of the Newman Centre Catholic Mission at the University of Toronto and lectured in Scripture at universities in Toronto, London and Windsor, before becoming the National Director and Chief Executive Officer for World Youth Day 2002.[1]

Fr. Rosica was awarded the Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice Medal by Pope John Paul II for his leadership of World Youth Day 2002 and his ministry with the young people of Canada.[1]
