Thomas Pennington Lucas

Thomas Pennington Lucas (13 April 1843 – 15 November 1917) was a Scottish-born Australian doctor and naturalist.
Lucas was born in Dunbar, Scotland and migrated to Melbourne, Australia in 1876 where he setup a medical practice. His brother was Arthur Henry Shakespeare Lucas.
In 1882 he founded the Field Naturalists Club of Victoria [1].
Lucas collected a large numbers of butterfly and moth specimens, now held in the South Australian Museum.
