Thomas Pöck (born December 2, 1981), an NHL defenceman for the New York Rangers, was born in Klagenfurt, Austria. He was a star defenseman in the American college UMass. Pöck was never drafted in the NHL, but signed his first pro contract on March 23, 2004 with the New York Rangers. He currently wears #22.
Pöck played eight games for the New York Rangers in the 2005-06 NHL season, scoring one goal, getting one assist, and accumulating four penalty minutes. As of March 31, 2007, Pöck has played 40 games for the Rangers, scored four goals, collected four assists, and been assessed 14 penalty minutes in the 2006-07 NHL season.
