Thomas Kiely Gorman

Thomas Kiely Gorman (August 30, 1892 – August 16, 1980) was a bishop of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States.
Born in Pasadena, California, Gorman was ordained to the presbyterium of the Archdiocese of Monterrey on June 23, 1917. On April 24, 1931, Gorman was appointed the first bishop of the Diocese of Reno and was ordained to the episcopate on July 22 of that year. On February 8, 1952, Gorman was appointed Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas and Titular Bishop of Rhasus and succeeded to the see of Dallas on August 29, 1954. Gorman retired on August 22, 1969 and was appointed Titular Bishop of Pinhel on the same date. Gorman resigned as Titular Bishop of Pinhel on Jan 21, 1971. He died on August 16, 1980.
