Thomas Kemper

Thomas Kemper is a brewer of root beer, ginger ale, and other soft drinks under the Thomas Kemper Soda Co. label. Formerly owned by Pyramid Breweries, Inc., it was sold in 2007 to Adventure Funds of Portland, Oregon, which is running the company under the Kemper Co. name. [1]
The soda comes in six flavors: Ginger Ale, Grape, Vanilla Cream, Root Beer, Orange Cream, and Black Cherry. Root Beer is the "original" flavor, it was first brewed at the Thomas Kemper Brewing Company's Oktoberfest celebration in 1990.

In the popular webcomic Penny Arcade Gabe and Tycho's cat is named Thomas Kemper, after the root beer.
