Thomas Jenkins Semmes

Thomas Jenkins Semmes (December 16, 1824 – June 23, 1899) was a politician in the state of Louisiana.
He was born in Washington, D.C. He served as a member of the state legislature, and as the Louisiana state attorney general. He was later a Confederate Senator in 1862-1865. He died in New Orleans, Louisiana.
