Thomas Jamison

Thomas Jamison (c.1753 – 27 January 1811) was an Irish-born surgeon-general of New South Wales.

Jamison was born in County Down, Ireland. He arrived in H.M.S. Sirius in the First Fleet in 1788. He worked on Norfolk Island and after leave in England returned to New South Wales as surgeon-general.

Along with surgeons John Harris and John Savage he performed the first successful vaccination of children against smallpox. His son, Sir John Jamison came to New South Wales to take over his father's properties.
