Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland

Thomas Fane, 8th Earl of Westmorland (1701 - 1771), MP for Lyme Regis, was the second son of Henry Fane of Brympton d'Evercy in Somerset.
He married Elizabeth Swymmer the daughter of a Bristol merchant the couple had two sons. Westmorland died in November 1771 and was succeeded by his elder son, John. His second son was General Henry Fane, father of Harriet Arbuthnot.
