[edit] Context

This article is extremely odd to a reader coming to it cold. The salient facts in it seem to be:

  • Thurman described himself as an explosives expert, but had no 'scientific qualifications'
  • Thurman was criticised by the Attorney General.
  • Thurman was not called as a witness in several court cases.

It's like starting a story in the middle. When and in what circumstances did Thurman describe himself as an explosives forensic expert? Did he actually work as one? Did he have other qualifications? What was he doing when he was criticized by the Attorney General? Why would he have been expected to be called as a witness in those court cases, and are there others he was called in?

Some of the article starts to make sense when you've read through all of it (something which reads like it might be the start of the 'story' appears halfway through the last paragraph), but not all of it. Can anyone with more knowledge of the subject rearrange and add to it to make it make more sense? TSP 23:11, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree with your comments, TSP, and have rewritten much of the article and generally tidied it up. Hope it makes more sense now!Phase4 14:31, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
