[edit] Citation for coming out statement

anonymous contributor 63.134.163.196 wrote; He came out to his parents at the age of 11, who were very supportive regarding his decision. this was reverted by IrishJew -- is there any chance it may be accurate? can anyone cite a source? perhas it wasn't vandalism. -- Denstat 08:46, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

No, he was 25, but his parents were supportive. I can look for sources if you want to add something about it. Queer Scout 10:19, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

hi QS, i think it could be important to put it in and cite it, but only if he's said in public that it was a significant part of his life, inspiration, etc. especially if he's repeated it. otherwise, it's a bit private. like citing someone's loss of virginity, it's a private matter unless the person, or, say a legal system, has really made it public. not something one should put in across the board in LGBT-related or other biography articles. -- Denstat 19:57, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
