This is a spoken word audio clip of a unique historic event, such as a speech by a public figure. The copyright for the speech is likely held by the author of the speech, and the copyright in the audio recording is most likely held by the creator of the audio recording. it also notes:
Spoken word audio clips of historical events, such as speeches by public figures, may be used when accompanied by critical or historical commentary and when attributed to the speaker.
I am inclined to classify Pynchon's appearance on the Simpsons as an historical event, since this is the only known recording of Pynchon's voice in existence. Also, I make it quite clear in the audio recording that this is Pynchon speaking, and describe which episode of The Simpsons Pynchon appeared in, as per the written article. Consequently, I believe my inclusion of the excerpt falls under fair use. I will change the final GDFL info at the end of the recording to reflect this.
