This is that Corporation is an independent film production company based in New York City. It was founded in 2002 by former Good Machine co-founder and co-president Ted Hope, and former Good Machine producers Anthony Bregman and Anne Carey. Good Machine's former VP of Business Affairs,Diana Victor, also joined. In 2006, Anthony Bregman left This is that to start his own production company, Likely Story.

2006 was an impressively busy and productive year for the company with six films lensing. The company released Nicole Holofcener’s latest feature, Friends with Money, starringJennifer Aniston, Catherine Keener, Frances McDormand and Joan Cusack. The film, which was the opening night selection at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival, is distributed by Sony Pictures Classics and was their highest grossing film in 2006.

Several films are slated for release in 2007. The Savages was written and directed by Tamara Jenkins and stars Philip Seymour Hoffman and Laura Linney. The Ex (2006 film) was written by David Guion & Michael Handelman, directed by Jesse Peretz and stars Zach Braff, Amanda Peet, Jason Bateman, Charles Grodin and Mia Farrow.

Also in 2006, Hal Hartley’s Fay Grim, aMagnolia Pictures release, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September. In 2007, it played at Sundance and will be featured at the Berlin, London and San Sebastian film festivals.

This is that is currently in post production on four films: Alan Ball’s untitled feature-length directorial debut; Carriers, which was written and directed by brothers Alex and David Pastor; Trainwreck: My Life as an Idiot was written and directed by Tod Harrison Williams and stars Seann William Scott and Gretchen Mol; and The Sleep Dealer, a Spanish-language science-fiction romance from writer-director Alex Rivera.
